Snowdrop measures approx 26mm x 12mm and is attached to a simple earwire which curves behind the ear and ends just below the snowdrop.

The Snowdrop has many names worldwide -  'Milk Flower' is one, from the Greek Gala/Milk and Anthos/Flower.
The word English word Snowdrop may actually be derived from the German name for teardrop shape pearl earrings fashionable in the 16th & 17th centuries - 'Schneetropfen' - 'Snowdrops'.
